Cake Pan Dutch Baby Pancake – Recipe Only

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • lemon juice or freshly squeezed lemons
  • powdered sugar (your discretion)

 

Directions

  1. Combine milk, flour, eggs, nutmeg, vanilla extract, and salt in either a bowl or blender
  2. If using blender, mix ingredients in two 10 second increments. If using hand whisk, mix in two 15 second increments
  3. Set batter aside
  4. Place cake pan into oven
  5. Preheat oven 425 degrees
  6. Take cake pan out of oven. Take two tablespoons of butter and coat the bottom and sides of pan
  7. Pour batter into pan and spread evenly
  8. Bake for 13-15 minutes
  9. Optional transfer to a plate
  10. Take lemon juice (or syrup or any other substitute) and pour into bowl of pancake. Let soak for about a minute
  11. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top of lemon juice
  12. Add berries if desired
  13. Enjoy!
